About Bounce Travels

Resilience travel with Bounce Travels provides opportunities to open your heart to new insights and possibilities, expand your social connections and discover new tools for living a happy, resilient life.

Traveling makes us happy! Do you know why? Here are just a few reasons why travel helps us build resilience and increase our happiness…

  • It’s an extremely easy way to make friends. Travel memories create a bond that nothing can erase and social connections are imperative to our happiness and well-being.
  • It gives you an opportunity to disconnect from regular life. Decreasing stress in our lives helps us to be healthier and happier people. Rest and relaxation are vital to our survival.
  • It increases your knowledge and widens your perspective. Realizing that we all share similar needs, hopes and dreams decreases prejudice, bigotry, and narrow mindedness, opening us up to a whole new way of thinking…positive thinking! People who learn to see the positive are happy people.
  • It helps us to appreciate home. Gratitude affects our physical, psychological and social well-being. Expressing gratitude and being grateful has a profound impact on our quality of life.
  • It gives us the opportunity to admire the beauty and wonder of the world we live in. According to the Greater Good Science Center, experiencing awe and beauty increases our kindness, satisfaction with our lives, improves our overall health and increases our understanding of the world.

About the Bounce Back Project

The Bounce Back program is designed to help make our community healthier & happier

We all know what it’s like to be overwhelmed and have too much on our plates. It’s easy to become discouraged and feel the weight of everything and not know how to respond in a healthy way. Resilience is our ability to bounce back from the stresses of life. It’s not about avoiding stress, but rather, building good coping skills that we can use to deal with stressful situations.

We used to believe that resilience is something that you are born with. Some people just seem to be able to handle more than others. However, new research shows that resilience is actually a skill, not just a personality trait — and it can be learned!
